Our competition season begins in October and ends in March with the State Little Athletics Championships. We meet on Saturday mornings at Glenbrook Oval, located on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Hare Street, Glenbrook.
Our competition operates on a three week cycle where athletes with the exception of Tiny Tots usually compete in 4-6 events across both track and field.
Please be patient in the first few weeks while the registration numbers are still being finalised as there may be some delays or program changes.
Athletes will be organised into their age groups and move around and compete in their events with the assistance of parent helpers. Saturday morning competition relies heavily on the involvement of parents. To run a successful competition we need upwards of 100 people and that means that all parents have to pitch in. That way it is not just the few doing all the work all the time. A roster is used for equipment set up and timekeeping and this is made available prior to the season start.
Little Athletics is an outdoor sport and as such we are sometimes affected by extremes in the weather. Things such as rain/heat may affect our ability to conduct our competition in the usual way. If this is the case we will communicate this to you via Facebook and the GLAC Team App. Any decisions made regarding weather will be advised by 7:30am on Saturday morning.
